Casino night at Ventana...

September the 29th, Oro Valley at dusk, a full moon and the magnificent mountain views from every angle, the perfect background for a fun Casino Night at Ventana Medical.
More than 25 dealers helped the guests to tempt lady luck: Poker, Craps, Roulette, and for the eager gamblers, a Texas Hold'em tournament with a trip for two to Vegas as the Grand prize.
Decor consisted on a Red Carpet entrance, framed by a black Sequins & Organza theatrical drapery, Red Up-lights throughout the venue, adding drama to the night, along with lighted spandex Highboys that helped us to create the perfect setting for the ones who wanted to enjoy the fine spirits & excellent food offered to all guests as part of this fabulous experience...The results: a great night of entertainment, laughs, fantastic food and over 300 winners who in several different times express their wish to do it all over again!
On our behalf, Thank you to all the people (over 60hard workers!) who made this a night to remember! (Special acknowledgements to Kristine, Randy, Patty, Frank & Bob!).

NOTE: Casino nights provide a relaxed/fun environment for guests, and are customizable with any theme/era you would like to portrait (Vegas, Cabaret, 50's, 70's, etc.). Music can also add to the overall experience, as well as the right food & beverages selection, always with "top notch" service.
Please call us to give us a chance to create the perfect Casino night for you and/or your company!

One large table...

You are planning a special event with your most selected group of friends & family, or if your intention is to get together your top potential clients to convince them you are the best company to do business with, you should consider a "one large table" set up.
Having everybody attending your event sitting as part of one large table will help you to create the perfect environment for everybody to talk, get to know each other, be close and enjoy every body's company!
Think for an instance a big Italian family (or Mexican, we love big "community" table too!) dining "Al fresco", while glasses of wine (or iced cold Margaritas, your choice!) and plates of beautiful food are passed around: conversations and laughs are loud but cordial, think that everybody is having fun.
There are many ways to do it right, one is making sure that the group you are entertaining is smaller rather than larger (based on our experience, no larger than 30 people)...
Dress your large table with beautiful linens, fresh floral centerpieces, tons of candles, make it as casual or sophisticated as you wanted to be, the only rule here, if any, would be TO HAVE FUN, and create an event that people will remember!
*To achieve this picture's look we used: Copper Satin tablecloths, Chiavari fruit wood chairs, Mahogany Bookshelves, Picasso Calla Lillies and Cymbidiun orchids floral centerpieces, mercury glass votives, Globe & cilinder crystal lanterns, all highlighted by beautiful amber up-lights.

It's Summer, get out!

The Summer in Arizona is sometimes feared, people think that the only ones who should be out are the Cactus & the lizards, however, The Summer is a great time for you to find the best deals in all the Resorts and venues available for you to create the most amazing events...Shall we suggest OUTDOOR Events!
Arizona Sunsets are like no other, intense Oranges, Reds & Purples, magnificent mountains that you can see with crystal clear clarity, and a Blue clean sky that serves as an eternal canopy for the most spectacular desert flora...
Get out!, plan a party in your garden, swimming pool, or let us suggest you the best sites in town, we guarantee you it will be cool, and unique, and full of color, we believe there is no heat that the coolest beer or tempting Margarita can't make dissapear, add to this a chilled shrimp Ceviche and the Summer could feel like heaven!... Take advantage of the outdoors, we will be here to help you plan and create a memorable event whenever you want!
In this picture: Tall crystal vases filled with colored sand, crystals, natural stones & sun-blasted branches.

Walking down the aisle...

With no doubt, we believe that one of the most important moments in a Wedding Celebration is the Ceremony: the couple, surrounded by their families & friends become officially Man and Wife.
Whatever their beliefs and/or religious views, the ceremony helps the happy couple to remember the reasons why they have decided to join their lives, and represent the promise of their love in front of the most important people in their lives.
Recently we had the opportunity to create a Gazebo to be used at a Wedding ceremony at The Ritz Carlton Dove Mountain, the groom's family idea was to create a 10 by 10 quilt with images, thoughts and good wishes from all of the happy couple's family and closest friends, the outcome, as you can see, was a beautiful mosaic of love, framed with white percale pillars, black satin ribbons, diamond beaded curtains and amber spot lights to create a warm atmosphere, just the perfect scenario for the lovely couple to declare their love to each other and commit to a happily ever after together!

It's an HONOR! Ball...

Last weekend we had the opportunity to work in an event created by one of our favorite designers in the US, William McArdle/Avant Garde, the occasion: The Honor Ball 2011 in Scottsdale, AZ.

Every time we receive a call from Avant Garde, we get very excited because they create some of the most beautiful and inspiring events, and that is all what Frostings it's all about: Creating beautiful and unique environments for people to remember...

The Phoenician Grand Ballroom was full of color: 9ft tall centerpieces crowned with hundreds of peacock feathers, Jade & teal linens in five different Shades, a spectacular stage framed by two Lounge Bar areas.

The Bar areas on each side were at the same height of the stage, giving the guests a wonderful view of the entire room: White carpet, beautiful lighting fixtures, clear votives and beaded curtains framed the entire space, giving all of the Lounge furniture and the 14ft Long Lighted Bars from our "LUZ" Collection a whimsical look.

Thank you William & Jill, working with you is always a blast, we look up to you and hope to keep on partnering in many more events to come!

I would like to finish by saying It's an Honor working with you and your fabulous team!

New & Fabulous! by Frostings...

At Frostings Event Design & Rentals, we are always adding unique pieces to our Furniture & Decor collection, all it takes is to see a picture, look at event specialized magazines, navigate Decor & Furniture Designers websites or explore store catalogues anywhere in the world (thanks to the magic of the Internet!), by this we mean, anytime, any place, for work or for leisure, sometimes without even noticing, our creative side is always thinking on what can look fabulous, what can be exclusive and as unique as possible, it happens all the time, and it could be a blessing or a curse!
And talking about the New & Fabulous items, this picture introduces two of our favorite new pieces, the "Marie Antoinette" Sectional, and the "Wedge" Bar set, these two pieces are finished in white leather, the first time we carry furniture in this specific color since we've been favoring a more off-white tone. We love the final look these two pieces deliver, especially the high back rest of the tufted leather Sectional, that adds an air of sophistication, as well as the fun shape of the seats and glass top table of the Bar set, together, they really help to dress up any space with functional, yet beautiful pieces that will perfectly help you to create a great event.

Winter Wonderland...

A few days ago we had the opportunity to create a beautiful Lounge set up for a wedding at the Ritz Carlton, the happy couple wanted us to create a room to surprise their guest in a section of the grand ballroom. The idea was to receive their guest at one of the beautiful lawns with a quartet for cocktails, then bring them to the ballroom where amazing floral centerpieces in purple and white orchids crowned every table, while from a grandioso! stage a spectacular live band played the notes of Nat king Cole's "Unforgettable".

Right after dinner, the crowd went back to the garden to witness an array of fireworks that illuminated Tucson's skyline...

Once all the guests returned to the ballroom the faux walls were removed, and a Winter Wonderland revealed. The room was completely dressed in white drapery made out of velvet, sheer percale and embellished with crystal beads, the look was simply astonishing; an icy, white & blue resplandeur that was, with no doubt, the talk of the night.

White circular & square sectionals, Lola Benches, Club chairs & Lucite lighting fixtures added to the dramatic look, while all accent pieces such as lighting and embroidered sequin pillows in blue finished the look that resembled a Winter Wonderland.

Lights & Crystals...

You see it all over the place: the Oscars, the Grammies, fashion shows, etc., designers are favoring the use of elements such as Swarovski crystals, mirrored furniture & decor, lighted pieces made out of acrylic, specialty fabric backdrops, and we have it all! These elements of Decor really bring the spark to your event, and help you create a dazzling atmosphere that will be remembered by your guests.

Think beautiful and comfortable furniture, and then Frost it! with unique accent pieces like crystal chandeliers, stand up lamps, mirrored tables, etc...The possibilities are endless!

If you are planning a special event, try to use these elements in your Decor, we guarantee you a Wow effect, and a unique environment that you will remember for years to come.

Brocade Bites!

This is our 3rd year participating in "Sensational Settings", a great event that showcases table top displays from over 30 local designers, and we must say we really enjoyed it, especially when this event benefits St. Luke's Home.

For this year's display we wanted to present something festive, luscious, sexy...We wanted to showcase a sophisticated, modern, fun style, that's why we chose our two principal characters for this movie: "Brocade" as the central graphic motif that will bring sophistication, glamour and finesse, and accent pieces in different shades of "Purple", to add mistery, sexiness and depth to our color palette: the result, a Clubie-Chic environment reminiscent of Sex & the City meets Voodoo lounge... We had a great response from the attendees of this event, for our surprise-and pleasure, many guests living their "golden years" loved the idea!, and told us that they really pictured themselves having a party like this!

Let me re-capitulate some of the words that came out of people's mouths with regards to our display: "New York Club, Martinis, Fun, Comfortable, Sexy, more Martinis!, Chic, Cozy, elegant, modern, contemporary, posh, etc, etc, etc.

NOTES: In this picture, our Quaddro Sectional in ivory, Round Retro Ottoman in eggplant, Lighted Tables with brocade adornment, mirrored column, black mink throw, Ivory Rug, accent pillows in Velvet, Silk, Satin and Damask, brocade votives, Glass House Tray, cube glass vases, black brocade China and purple Glassware.

LoungINg!

One of our favorite publications when it comes to unique-dazzling Weddings is Grace Ormonde's Wedding Style Magazine, there you will find the newest trends, but most of all, fabulous design ideas to create unique events that are lavish and with a great level of taste.

In their newest edition, they published an article about how Weddings are favoring the swanky look of "Lounge" settings, something we've been praising for about 5 years, and what better endorsement than this prestigious publication to let our clients know that we can help them create Lounge environments that are up to par with anything the big cities around the world have to offer.

Please enjoy the article, and get inspired for your upcoming event, we will be happy to help you realize your vision, 'cause we believe as well as you do, that Lounge is so In!

A "Lounge" Ceremony?

Recently we worked on an event at the Valley-Ho in Scottsdale, and the client asked us to create a "Lounge Ceremony", for us that represented a great opportunity to showcase our furniture in a kind of unexpected way...We decided to use one of our newest items, the Lola Bench in white, as well as some Lounge Ottomans to create a "more design" look, the result, we believe, is visually astonishing, simply Chic and unique. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did!

PS. Thank you Sergio (Sergio Photographer) for the great pictures you took for us, your talent is greatly appreciated!

We Love Weddings!

When we first started our company, we were working almost exclusively with Corporate accounts, clean, functional, structured type of events. Many times, the colors for our accent pieces were (and still are) dictated by the color of the company's logo we are working for, and I believe that is great, but ask Paloma, our Designer, and she will tell you hands down she prefers Weddings! My question is: Why choosing the intense drama charged atmosphere first consultation, where the couple often is accompanied by the mother, the aunt, the friend and the neighbor? (of course I've been facetious, we've been so lucky since all of our wedding clients are more hip and independent and always know what they want!) over a simple e-mail message, e-mail proposal/layout, wait for an answer, then a check of a Corporate event? I know the answer: Weddings offer the Designer the capability to help to create unique and memorable events, and most of the times, challenges the talent of the Designer, which applies all his (in this case "her") experience in order to create a special event that has been envisioned by the couple (and whoever else they decide to invite to the table!).

Weddings offer the possibility to create unique environments with the usage of color, texture, lighting, fabrics, flowers, scents and every little detail to mesmerize the senses, and believe us when we say that our clients are not afraid of none of this!
We love when a couple approach us with their great ideas and the vision they have for their very special day, and we love to see their reaction the day of the event, when they see that we took everything they told us into consideration, and of course, we added more! We feel that we just did something transcendental, at least for the two of them and for all of their families and friends, that hopefully will remember their wedding day as a very unique and special one, that is simply the best feeling!
After all these things I've said, I guess you won't have a doubt in your mind:
WE LOVE WEDDINGS!

NOTE: Thank you to our friends of Pangburn Photography for the terrific pictures, you guys are great to work with!

The Colors of Spring...

Spring is here! Wherever you go you can see the dessert in bloom, vibrant yellows and purples cover the sideways... This is the perfect time to plan an outdoor event. You can start by creating a relaxing atmosphere with different groupings, we suggest you to go free style and use different pieces to create a more "design" and chic atmosphere. Whatever you do, make sure to use plenty of color: accent pillows, flowers, rugs, votive candles, flowers, special lighting, everything adds to the beautiful feeling of being part of the awakening of nature.

Feel free to call us to start planning your Spring event, and be surprised about all the new items we've got for the season!

Frostings at Sensational Settings!

What a great event Sensational settings turned out to be for us! Hundreds of people, everybody with an ear to what we had to say, as well as a great group of talented local designers, some of them with great ideas and points of views...

Our theme for this event was a "Safari Lounge" setting, we played with the idea of a young and successful couple (our client) who just came back from Africa, where they spent a season as volunteers to help preserve the Serengeti, the result: A sophisticated environment accentuated by a luscious Zebra area rug, a "Caoba" spiral vase crowned with Faisan and Wild Ostrich feathers, a jaguar throw and accent pillows with geometrical and animal print motifs...

For seating options, we used the newest addition to our inventory, the "Dali Sofa", one of the most comfortable pieces we have, with a very sophisticated look, as well as a "Chocolate Leather Bench" and a center table created with our "Acrylic Ghost" side tables. We were very pleased with the final look of our set up, and we wanted to share it with you!
